System requirements & compatible/tested systems
To operate the VMShutdownManager, a physical machine running a Windows OS (Windows 11 or later, or Windows Server 2019) is required. For access to the web interface, we recommend using the Chrome or Edge browser.
Before installing the VMShutdownManager, a SQL Server 2025 Express instance must be provided. It is also recommended to install the latest cumulative update.
Starting with VMShutdownManager version 3.0.0.x, DotNet is delivered as a self-contained framework within the installation package. The separate installation of DotNet as a system requirement is therefore no longer necessary.
